Not too shabby (so far)
I really can't say that I have anything to complain about here. The animation and everything visual look as phenomenal as I desperately hoped they would. I can see the little cutaways and sight gags turning some people off but I really won't have any problems if they're actually funny and don't take away from the mood of the main action or plot. I'm a guy that can admire something that's well sculpted or well painted but I don't own a single toy or figure, let alone anything resembling a stuffed animal. That said, I would totally buy a plushie of Chibi Toast Spider-Man if there ever was one.
Drake Bell seems to be giving a decent enough performance as Spidey Parker. J.K. is kicking butt as usual, and the MJ voice actress sounds nothing less than suitable. All of the designs and backgrounds look pretty excellent, too. I'm still pretty eager to learn who will make up the support team of teen heroes that SHIELD partners Spidey with. Being a massive fan of a certain Saturday morning cartoon from the 80s, it probably wouldn't be hard to guess a couple of people that I hope made the cut.
